Freeride in Cortina

Freeride surrounded by the Dolomites, the mountains recognized as UNESCO World Heritage, in Cortina d’Ampezzo, one of the most famous ski resorts in the world. The breathtaking scenery is characterized by the white snow, and the pink mountains, which owes their colors to the rays of the setting sun and the lights of the shelters.

Location

In 1956, Cortina hosted the Winter Olympics, becoming a myth from that moment. It is still possible to admire some of the original buildings of the event, like the ski jump or the Olympic Ice Stadium, and these olympic structures give a timeless atmosphere to the location. The authenticity of this small town, surrounded by the Dolomites, is also due to the wood’s craftsmanship and the fabrics. Another characteristic aspect of the Ampezzo valley are the many restaurants and shelters where you can taste the dishes of the local tradition. Talking about sport and freeride, Cortina has a lot to offer. The slopes are exceptional and offer a variety of conditions suitable for all levels of preparation, especially to expert skiers. Cortina is preparing to host the 2026 Winter Olympics and the next 2021 World Ski Championships , and it is building lifts, slopes and all kinds of services suitable for hosting these important events in the best possible way. These events have pushed “La Perla” towards innovation, confirming that it is always a prestigious mountain destination. The country offers:

  • spas
  • restaurants with typical traditional cuisine
  • excellent restaurants with international cuisine
  • climbing gym
  • bars and clubs
  • craft shops
  • technical shops
  • high fashion boutique.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is the ideal destination for those who want to experience the Dolomites, it is a 360 degrees mountain’s experience.
