The breathtaking scenery is characterized by the white snow, and the pink mountains, which owes their colors to the rays of the setting sun and the lights of the shelters.
Location
In 1956, Cortina hosted the Winter Olympics, becoming a myth from that moment. It is still possible to admire some of the original buildings of the event, like the ski jump or the Olympic Ice Stadium, and these olympic structures give a timeless atmosphere to the location. The authenticity of this small town, surrounded by the Dolomites, is also due to the wood’s craftsmanship and the fabrics. Another characteristic aspect of the Ampezzo valley are the many restaurants and shelters where you can taste the dishes of the local tradition. Talking about sport and freeride, Cortina has a lot to offer. The slopes are exceptional and offer a variety of conditions suitable for all levels of preparation, especially to expert skiers. Cortina is preparing to host the 2026 Winter Olympics and the next 2021 World Ski Championships , and it is building lifts, slopes and all kinds of services suitable for hosting these important events in the best possible way. Cortina d’Ampezzo is the ideal destination for those who want to experience the Dolomites, it is a 360 degrees mountain’s experience.
Our skitour dedicated to Freeride in Cortina will be an experience that will put you in front of monumental peaks such as the 5 towers, the Cristallo, Lagazuoi, the Tofane and many other reliefs that emerge from the green nature. In fact, the characteristic trait of this part of the Alps is the variety of flora, gigantic trees line, the snowy woods illuminated by the sun’s rays, and the first snowfalls in autumn which are an unforgettable sight because the snow falls on the trees with their autumn colors . This week’s goal will be to transport you to the world of freeride and backcountry . With the support of an Alpine Guide, we will take you to explore unspoiled places, immersing ourselves in the local flora and fauna, to be able to admire these Dolomites even more closely. The itinerary offers 6 days of skiing accompanied by our teachers Nicolò and Matteo Bugatti, each of whom will follow a group of up to 6 participants, leading you to discover the Ampezzo Dolomites with different programs day by day. The wide variety of slopes will give us the possibility to organize trips as suitable as possible to the level of the group.
The accompanying instructors will be Matteo and Nicolò Bugatti, Ski and Telemark Instructors from the Regional College of Ski Instructors of Veneto; Skiers with national and international competitive experiences, the Bugatti brothers have lived their winters in the Ampezzo valley for over 15 years, first as athletes and now as instructors; Starting from competition, moving and specializing in the world of Freeride and Freestyle, the Bugatti brothers will entertain you exploring this beautiful valley, also helping you to improve your skiing technique.

Independent arrival in Cortina and accommodation at your hotel.
Breakfast and transfer to the lifts together with the Bugatti Instructors, where we will meet the reference Alpine Guide who we will consult for the whole week.
During the first day of skiing, we will have to take some time to collect the ski pass and illustrate the guidelines for the week, about the organization and behavior that must be followed during the excursions.
The itinerary will be defined day by day, in agreement with the Alpine Guide, based on the weather conditions.
The place for lunch can change according to the itinerary. The meal cost is not included in the price.
