The white of the snow, the pink of the mountains illuminated by the rays of the setting sun and the lights of the shelters, constitute a breathtaking scenery.
The birth of the myth of Cortina dates back to 1956, when it hosted the Winter Olympics, it is still possible to admire some of the original buildings and facilities of the event, such as the ski jump or the Olympic Ice Stadium, which give this location a timeless atmosphere. The authenticity of this small town surrounded by the giants of the Dolomites is also due to the craftsmanship of wood and fabrics. Another characteristic aspect of the Ampezzo valley are the many restaurants and shelters where it is possible to taste the dishes of the local tradition. From the point of view of sport, Cortina really has a lot to offer. The slopes are nothing short of exceptional and offer a variety of conditions suitable for all levels of preparation, especially those dedicated to expert skiers. Cortina is preparing to host the 2026 Winter Olympics and the next 2021 World Ski Championships , with the construction of lifts, slopes and all kinds of services to best accommodate this important event. Depending on the season, the snow-covered slopes are of great versatility, from the easy ones of Socrepes and Pocol to the more demanding ones like Olympia and Forcella Rossa , surrounded by characteristic refuges and breathtaking views. Cortina d’Ampezzo is the ideal destination for those who want to experience the Dolomites, it is the mountain at 360 degrees.
Our skitour in Cortina will be an experience that will put you in front of monumental peaks such as the 5 Torri, the Cristallo, the Lagazuoi, the Tofane and many other reliefs that emerge from the green of nature. In fact, the characteristic of this part of the Alps is precisely the variety of flora, gigantic trees line every bend, the snowy woods filter the sun’s rays, and the first snowfalls in autumn are an unforgettable sight because the snow falls on the trees that are fiery with autumn colors . The itinerary offers 6 days of skiing accompanied by our instructors, who will each follow a group of up to 6 participants, leading you to discover the Ampezzo Dolomites with different programs day by day and adapted to the level of the group, to guarantee an excellent experience and assistance. Optional a day of excursion or Freeride with an expert local mountain guide, taking into account weather-snow conditions and considering the most suitable routes for the level of the group.
The accompanying instructors will be Matteo and Nicolò Bugatti, Ski and Telemark Instructors belonging to the Regional College of Ski Instructors of Veneto; skiers with national and international competitive experiences, the Bugatti brothers have lived their winters in the Ampezzo valley for over 15 years, first as athletes and now as instructors. Starting from competition, moving and specializing in the world of Freeride and Freestyle, the Bugatti brothers will entertain you exploring this beautiful valley, also helping you to improve your skiing technique.
